Even though they give you a full menu, you can ONLY order breakfast before 11. I brought my whole family. My 6 year old had his heart set on a grilled cheese sandwich. They absolutely refused to do it for him. There were 3 other tables, all were here before us. Not sure why they wouldn't make the grilled cheese but I was disappointed enough to not return. So I went to Denny's down the street to feed my kiddo.

Early in the morning, the first full day of a road trip starts with breakfast. It should be a good hearty rib sticking delicious meal. Jake’s delivers whole hearted. A perfect omelette filled with melted cheddar cheese, mushrooms, red / green peppers, and onion a side of home potatoes. Mandolined 1/4 inch and griddle fried. Perfectly done locally made sourdough toast. Great food doesn’t have to be fancy. Simple food done well is excellent always. Great for kids and small groups. Not good for disabled as it is very narrow and grandfathered in as a diner with stairs.

Authentic old diner with delicious down to earth food. Looks crummy on the outside and similarly on the inside, so don't intend to impress your first date if you go there. Go there for the food and good prices. Must add, the coffee was terribly weak and low grade, like most places in the US.

This cafe is not ADA compliant and definitely not friendly to the disabled. My wife and I along with 3 of our grand kids decided to eat there after stopping for gas. My wife is disabled and has a service dog. As soon as we walked in the waitress charged at my wife with her hand out shouting you can't bring that dog in here. My wife responded don't talk to me like that and for your information he is a service dog would you like to see his license. Before she could answer the cook hollered don't talk to my waitress like that. Guess at Jake's customer service is not a strong point even if there employee was the cause of the argument. A reasonable or compitent person would normally ask if the dog is a service animal and the management would have directed them in the proper way to deal with the situation. My recommendation is to avoid this cafe and go down the road to a better place. I recommend Sterling's, look them up.

You can't get a better breakfast than at Jake's! The best biscuits and gravy in town. Great friendly service in an old fashioned diner. We love Jake's!
